Travel & Stay
Our wedding weekend is set in one of our favorite places, Frederick, MD!
All of the events will take place in Downtown Frederick, so we highly recommend staying in the heart of it all. The downtown area is lovely and walkable, with tons of locally owned shops, restaurants, breweries, and distilleries.
Lodging
Visitation Hotel
211 East Church Street
The reception is at the Visitation Hotel, which is also our top pick for where to stay. A restored hotel in the heart of Downtown Frederick, Visitation was originally built nearly 200 years ago as a monastery and later became home to a renowned girls’ school. Today, the property blends historic charm with modern comfort.
House Rentals
If you're looking for group accommodations, there are several great Airbnb options nearby. We’ve put together a list of places that are well-situated based on where the weekend’s events will take place.
Transportation
fly
BWI, DCA, IAD
All three airport options are a little under an hour from Frederick, so any of them are a good option. BWI is the closest by a bit and the best option to avoid Friday afternoon traffic.
train
AMTRAK
The Amtrak is a great option for getting to Frederick from NYC. We recommend taking the train to BWI, then either grabbing an Uber or renting a car from there.
drive
RENTAL CAR
Driving is our favorite, and the most straightforward way to get from NYC to Frederick. You can expect the trip to take just over four hours.
